Introduction to the seminar in the classroom
Visits: Cappella Pontano, Naples Cathedral (Cappella del Succorpo), Church of San Giovanni a Carbonara (Cappella Caracciolo di Vico, Ladislao Monument, Cappella Caracciolo del Sole), Temple of the Dioscuri-San Paolo Maggiore.  

Tuesday 19 May
Visits: Castel Nuovo, Church of Santa Maria di Monteoliveto (Cappella Piccolomini and Cappella Correale, Mazzoni Tomb, Vasari Sactisty), Palazzo Sanseverino, Church of Sant’Angelo a Nilo (Brancaccio Monument), Palazzo Carafa, Basilica of San Domenico Maggiore.  

Wednesday 20 May
Classroom meeting Visits: Cappellone di Gonzalo de Cordoba, Church of San Giacomo degli Spagnoli (Monument to Don Pedro de Toledo), Via Toledo, Palazzo Reale, Biblioteca Nazionale (books by Pirro Ligorio; album of Mario Cartaro; first editions of Pontano).  

Thursday 21 May
Visits: Capua: Amphitheatre, Arch of Hadrian, remains of Porta di Federico II, Palazzo Giudici, Palazzo Verrone, Cathedral, Palazzo Antignano-Museo Campano.  

Friday 22 May
Visits: Virgil’s Tomb, Crypta Neapolitana, Church of Santa Maria del Parto (Mausoleum of Jacopo Sannazaro). Final classroom meeting.
