The magazine of the Centro

Annali di architettura is the magazine of the Centro Internazionale di Studi di Architettura Andrea Palladio.

In 2008 the European Science Foundation recognized the excellent standard of this publication, placing it in Category A of the European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH) in the History of art, architecture and design section. In 2011, of the around 500 European periodicals assessed, the Annali is one of only seven Italian art magazines to have received confirmation of this acknowledgement. It was approved on 2017-04-21 according to ERIH PLUS criteria for inclusion, and confirmed in 2022.

Founded in 1959 and since 1991 known as the Bollettino del CISA Andrea Palladio, the magazine now has 54 issues. Previous editors have been André Chastel and James S. Ackerman. Today academic responsibility lies with the Spanish scholar Fernando Marías, the current editor, while the members of the international editorial advisory board are Guido Beltramini, Cammy Brothers, Howard Burns, Caroline Elam, Francesco Paolo Fiore, Christoph L. Frommel, Pierre Gros, Jean Guillaume and Silvia Moretti.

Although mainly focused on the history of Renaissance architecture, the Annali also publishes articles by Italian and international scholars on architecture from all ages in the principal European languages. Each volume includes a review section and news about the Centre’s activities, in addition to the abstracts of all articles and the authors' profiles.
